Explore Sri Lanka’s less-visited east coast combined with classic highland attractions. Start in Negombo, travel up to Trincomalee for temple visits at Koneswaram and pristine beaches at Nilaveli. Spend time at Pasikuda’s turquoise waters or Arugam Bay, a world-class surfing destination with a laid-back vibe.

Head inland to Ella’s cool climate and tea plantations, then take the train through mountain passes to Nuwara Eliya. Visit Kandy’s cultural sites, safari at Yala National Park, and finish at southern beaches near Galle. This route shows you a different side of Sri Lanka, away from the typical west coast tourist trail.
